Meet James Haggarty
Our new consultant
We’re excited to welcome James Haggarty to the Cadaema team. With decades of experience in public and private sector consultancy, James brings expertise, agility, and a collaborative approach that aligns perfectly with our values.
Dave and I previously worked together. Therefore, I know we have similar principles, values and approach, so working alongside him to deliver his aims and objectives for Cadaema really appealed to me.
Moreover, this permanent role is an exciting opportunity to support Cadaema’s growth journey to the benefit of their clients, James explains.
He adds, ‘Cadaema’s values fully align with my own, in short we want to do the right thing for our clients openly and transparently in an ethical way.’ This commitment guides every decision we make and every client interaction. We will keep up with high standards.
As a new consultant, James brings a wealth of experience helping organisations tackle complex challenges. He says, “I bring decades of experience of working with public and private sector organisations to resolve their problems and provide workable solutions.” His ability to understand clients’ goals quickly and build trust is central to his work, and clear focus helps accelerate results.
Having worked with various organisations across multiple markets, he can quickly grasp what clients are looking to achieve and what their issues are without over-analysing or taking too long to reach the crux of the issue. This approach helps him develop strong, long-standing working relationships and trust, which are essential to clients seeking consultancy support.
Colleagues describe him as collaborative, supportive and approachable. He recognises their strengths and empowers them to develop at a pace appropriate to them, in a direction that helps them achieve their career goals. They know that he is there for them to fall back on.
Role at Cadaema. James explains that no two projects are alike and Cadaema’s clients span multiple sectors. This means my role as a consultant allows me to flex many different skills. I must be agile and adaptive to deliver the highest quality support to our clients, which makes my role interesting, says James.
Moreover, James plans each day with structure to focus on what matters most. I like to plan daily, and I set plans that focus on meeting targets in a structured way. Having this structured approach enables me to prioritise what’s most important.
Additionally, James is excited by the variety Cadaema offers. The variety of projects with different people across private and public sectors presents thrilling challenges he is eager to undertake.
Looking ahead, in his first year James aims to support Dave in driving the growth plan.
“I hope to provide Dave with a level of support that will allow him to develop and implement the Cadaema growth plan.” He also notes his aim is to be someone he can use as a sounding board, while enabling downtime to enjoy non-work time with friends and, most importantly, his family.
Moreover, he concludes, “Professionally, I am invested in the success of Cadaema.” He adds that he is focused on how to drive the company forward, rather than fixating on small day-to-day successes.
Personally, success will be that Dave and I remain friends and he feels I have contributed in a positive way to the development of Cadaema.”
