We’re excited to welcome James Haggarty to the Cadaema team. With decades of experience in public and private sector consultancy, James brings expertise, agility, and a collaborative approach that aligns perfectly with our values.

Why James Joined Cadaema
“Dave and I previously worked together, I know we have similar principles, values and approach so working alongside him to deliver his aims and objectives for Cadaema really appealed to me. This permanent role is an exciting opportunity to support Cadaema’s growth journey to the benefit of their clients,” James explains. He adds, “Cadaema’s values fully align with my own, in short we want to do the right thing for our clients openly and transparently in an ethical way.”

Experience and Approach
James brings a wealth of experience helping organisations tackle complex challenges. “I bring decades of experience of working with public and private sector organisations to resolve their problems and provide workable solutions,” he says. His ability to understand clients’ goals quickly and build trust is central to his work: “Having worked with various organisations across multiple markets, I can quickly grasp what clients are looking to achieve and what their issues are without over analysing or taking too long to get to the crux of the issue. This means I develop strong, long-standing working relationships and trust, which is essential to clients looking for consultancy support.” Colleagues would describe him as “collaborative, supportive and approachable. I recognise their strengths and empower them to develop at a pace appropriate to them, and in a direction that helps them achieve their career goals. They know that I’m there for them to fall back on.”

Role at Cadaema
“No two projects are alike, and Cadaema’s clients span multiple sectors, it means my role as Consultant allows me to flex a lot of different skills. Having to be agile and adaptive in order to deliver the highest quality support to our clients makes my role interesting,” says James. He plans each day with structure to focus on what matters most: “I like to plan. On a daily basis I put plans in place which focus on meeting targets in a structured way. Having this structured approach enables me to prioritise what’s most important.” James is most excited by the variety Cadaema offers: “The variety, working on different projects, with different people across different areas of the private and public sector presents a thrilling challenge that I am excited to undertake.”

Looking Ahead
In his first year, James aims to support Dave in driving the growth plan: “I hope to provide Dave with a level of support that will allow him to develop and implement the Cadaema growth plan. My aim is to be someone he can use as a sounding board while allowing him downtime to enjoy non-work time with friends and most importantly his family.”He concludes, “Professionally, I am invested in the success of Cadaema. Rather than fixating on the small day-to-day successes, I am focusing on how I can help drive the company forward. Personally, success will be that Dave and I remain friends and he feels I have contributed in a positive way to the development of Cadaema.”
