Why People Remain the Foundation of Organisational Success

Bringing people first performance into practice with Frazer Rendell

At Cadaema Consulting, we believe the best outcomes are delivered when organisations combine strong internal capability with carefully selected specialist expertise. Our approach is not about replacing in house teams, but about strengthening them with insight, experience, and practical support exactly where it is needed.

Frazer Rendell is a consultant we work with to add expertise to our projects when it is the right fit. Our recent conversation with him reinforced exactly why that collaboration works so well.

Frazer has more than 40 years of experience in the Soft FM sector, with a career spanning operational leadership, consultancy, advisory roles, and industry engagement. Over that time, he has developed a clear reputation for translating complex organisational challenges into practical, people focused solutions that improve performance and deliver sustainable results.

His perspective is firmly rooted in a simple but powerful belief: if you focus on people, performance follows. Frazer is passionate about the idea that when staff feel supported, valued, and engaged, the impact on service quality, culture, and ultimately financial performance is significant.

That philosophy has been applied across a wide range of sectors. Since moving into consultancy in 2013, Frazer has delivered projects across hotels, business and industry, education, and healthcare. His work includes quality reviews, benchmarking, training, outsourcing and insourcing programmes, and large-scale transformation initiatives. Among these was a major project valued at over one billion dollars.

What stands out is the consistency of his approach. Regardless of scale or complexity, the focus remains on practical outcomes that work for people on the ground.

Alongside his consultancy work, Frazer has contributed significantly to governance and thought leadership. He is a Non-executive Director at Goodenough College and has served as a judge for both the Engage Awards and the Quality Food Awards. He also spent six years as a Governor for an NHS Mental Health Trust, bringing direct oversight experience within healthcare settings.

His involvement with the Engage for Success movement, including research conducted in collaboration with Cranfield Business School, reflects his long-standing commitment to employee engagement and organisational improvement at a systemic level.

This alignment with people centred performance is particularly relevant as Frazer has recently been selected to join a project group working with NHS staff within an NHS Trust, delivering one-to-one health coaching. Supporting NHS staff in this way is a powerful example of how focused, human centred interventions can make a meaningful difference in high pressure environments.

At Cadaema, we are pleased to be able to support this type of work by connecting clients with specialists like Frazer who bring both deep experience and genuine care for the people they work with.

Our conversation with him made one thing very clear: his expertise is not only in systems and operations, but in people. He cares about the work, the outcomes, and the individuals behind every organisation he supports.

Outside of work, Frazer enjoys cooking, staying fit, travelling, and spending time outdoors, particularly hiking in Norway. These interests reflect the same balance and perspective that he brings into his professional life.

Frazer is an asset to Cadaema Consulting and to the organisations he supports, and we look forward to continuing to work with him where his expertise can add real value.
